The Landscape Planning and Conservation section provides professional and technical expertise aimed at the conservation, protection and enhancement of the natural and built environment of Hartlepool.
Our work includes:
1. Building Conservation
The provision of an advisory service on listed buildings and conservation areas including a development control and planning support role, and development and delivery of conservation grant schemes.
2. Ecology and Environmental Education
The provision of an advisory service promoting biodiversity and includes a development control and planning support role. Overseeing Hartlepool's protected wildlife sites and protected species as well as raising environmental awareness through the delivery of an environmental education service.
The provision of an arboricultural advisory service including the inspection and review of Hartlepool's protected tree stock and a development control support role.
