Mental Health: Outline
Assessment of need and a range of services for people with mental health problems and their carers are available through Child and Adult Services.
This is an integrated service with the NHS.

24-hour mental health crisis response, seven days a week including bank holidays.
We will take referrals from health professionals who have seen the person concerned within the past 24 hours.
We accept self-referrals from service users or carers in mental health services outside of the hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Please address all matters arising during the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday to the appropriate care co-ordination team.

Mental Health Matters Helpline is a confidential service staffed by highly trained and experienced Telephone Helpline Workers, offering emotional support to anyone calling.
The Helpline is available 5:00pm - 9:00am Monday to Friday and 24hrs weekends and Bank Holidays throughout Hartlepool.
This service can be accessed by anyone who requires emotional support and guidance on a range of issues, including loneliness & isolation, relationship problems, family problems, depression, bereavement, self-harm, abuse and hearing voices.
