Food Business - Food Safety Regulations: Outline
There is an obligation on businesses to ensure that their activities are carried out in a hygienic way. It is an offence for anyone to sell or process food for sale which may be harmful to health.
Hartlepool Borough Council is responsible for ensuring that local businesses comply with these regulations.
We will investigate complaints about unsatisfactory conditions or practices at food premises.
