Council Owned Land and Premises: Outline
The Estates and Asset Management Section maintains the Council's Property Asset Register and holds information on all Council owned property.
The section is responsible for the management of all of the Council's property to support service departments and to generate rental and capital income.
The Council's property portfolio consists of mostly commercial and office properties but also includes schools, community centres, libraries, leisure facilities and open land used in connection with the services the Council provides for the people of Hartlepool.
The section buys and sells property on behalf of the Council and it provides advice to service departments on property values, estates management matters, land compensation claims, rating appeals and leases of property.
