Public Rights of Way: Outline
The Countryside Access Team manage the 93km of public rights of way in the Borough.
As part of the Team's duties it looks after the Definitive Map and any changes made to the Map. These changes include creations, diversions, extinguishments (also known as Public Path Orders) and Definitive Map Modification Orders
Public Rights of Way do not include 'footways' by the side of roads - these are managed by the Highways Department.
