Hartlepool Borough Council operates a door-to-door kerbside collection for recycling household waste.
Blue bag: newspapers; magazines; catalogues (without hard backs); junk mail; paper envelopes (with window removed); and telephone directories.
Blue box: food and drinks cans (rinsed please), aerosol cans; tin foil, any colour glass bottles and jars (rinsed please); and textiles.
White poly bag: plastic drinks bottles (rinsed and flattened if possible); plastic household bottles (rinsed and flattened if possible); cardboard packaging; greeting cards, toilet/kitchen rolls; and brown corrugated card.

We aim to collect missed collections within one working day of being notified.
