If you are elderly, disabled, or vulnerable in any way and feel you need an alarm system in your home, or any other modification which will make it easier to live independently, then you may be eligible for a 'Supporting People' grant.
Supporting People is a government grant that pays for housing related support services. This helps people to live independently in the community. The grant pays for the support you get in your own home such as:
- An alarm system
- Access to training and employment
- Help with getting benefits and filling in forms
- Getting to know the area where you live
- Having a regular visit from the warden
- Understanding your responsibilities when you live in your own home
