VISITORS to Hartlepool Civic Centre and the adjoining Law Courts are advised that essential repair work will start shortly at the front entrance to the building. From next week (w/c 6th February)

Smoke alarms cost around £5 and are simple to install. They are widely available from DIY, hardware and electrical shops and some supermarkets.
Choose an alarm which meets British Standard BS5446 Part 1 and carries the Kitemark. Further advice on purchasing and fitting smoke alarms can be found on the Directgov website.
