SEN Criteria For Deciding Whether To Make A Statutory Assesment Of Special Educational Need
It is the duty of the Local Authority to identify and make a statutory assessment of those children for whom they are responsible who have special educational needs (SEN) and who possibly need a statement.
The document sets out the criteria agreed by the Local Authority and used by all professionals within the Children\'s Services Department working with children who have SEN, for deciding whether to make a statutory assessment of SEN.
