Looking at the dreams and aspirations of people with learning disabilities in Hartlepool, Roaring Mouse Drama Group took great enjoyment from becoming their favourite Movie Stars. Working with professional photographer Dave Hudspeth, they chose their favourite movies and re-cast them with themselves in the starring roles.
Dave photographed members on location and in full costume to fully capture the ambience of the various iconic films, including: "Brief Encounter" at Hartlepool railway station, "Titanic" on the paddle steam ship Wingfield Castle and "Pirates of Caribbean" on HMS Trincomalee.
The images on display in the gallery will be in the style of full size "Hollywood" movie posters.
This exhibition is just one aspect of a much bigger project they are working on called "Did You Get A Life?", which re-visits their look at services for people with Learning disabilities in Hartlepool in 2001.
'Did you get a life?' will include a performance at the theatre in 2009.
