Answer:

The level of charge for your Building Regulation submission is based on the type of work you are proposing.  

The Building Regulation charge is split up as a Plan charge and an Inspection charge on Full plans applications and is one combined charge for a Building Notice application.  

For Full Plans applications the plan charge is paid on deposit of your application and covers the plan appraisal carried out by the surveyor. The Inspection charge is invoiced later following the first inspection on site of your building works.

For Building Notice applications the combined Plan charge and Inspection charge is paid on deposit of the application. 

The current charges are included on all application forms.

The current Charges scheme is available on request from the local authority Building Control Section.
