Q: How can I get my vehicle back?
In order to re-claim your vehicle you will need to pay the applicable release fees as well as produce:
- A valid tax disc
- Vehicle registration certificate (V5)
- Proof of your identity, such as a drivers licence or passport
When you have paid the applicable fees in full, provided the required proof of ownership and required ID, you will be issued with a "Vehicle Release Receipt" and given the location of the vehicle impound.
Please note that the vehicle impound is not in the immediate area of the Civic Centre, therefore you will need to arrange your own transport to the vehicle impound (approximately 17 miles).
You will be required to provide your "Vehicle Release Receipt" at the impound in order to collect your vehicle.
