If you are concerned about a Hartlepool resident who you think may need a bit of help, you can use this form to refer them to Supported Access to Independent Living Services, or SAILS.

SAILS is a local organisation that can put people in touch with services offering 'low-level' support such as:

  • Handyman services
  • Gardening services, including clearing pathways
  • Luncheon and friendship clubs
  • Social events and outings
  • Prescription collection and shopping services
  • Meal delivery services
  • Slips,trips and falls advice
  • Help to find and use appropriate care services
  • Support to attend GP or hospital appointments
  • Debt management advice
  • Welfare benefits advice
  • Fuel poverty advice/keep warm initiatives
  • Crime prevention and fire safety advice

SAILS can also refer a person on to adult social care if needed.
