Welcome to the Hartlepool Safeguarding Children Board (HSCB) website.
Safeguarding children is everyone's responsibility and Hartlepool Safeguarding Children Board brings together people who work with children and their families to ensure that the safety and welfare of children is at the heart of their work. HSCB leads the work to safeguard children in the town and in partnership with Hartlepool Children's Trust ensures that every child matters.
The aim of HSCB is to make sure those who work with children and their families do it well and keep children safe. The Board is attended by professionals from the local authority, health services, the police, the probation service, the Child and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (CAFCASS), schools, the voluntary sector and many others.
This website gives children and young people, their families and communities and professionals useful information about how organisations work together to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
I hope this web site is useful to those who want to know more about the role, structure and work of Hartlepool Safeguarding Children Board.
