Council Performance

The Performance and Consultation Team form part of the Performance and Partnership Team within the Corporate Strategy Division.

The team's remit includes: -

• Corporate Plan and service planning
• Performance Management and reporting
• Data Quality
• Risk Management
• Consultation and Research - Find out more
• Corporate Complaints
• External audit and inspection

The team lead on corporate aspects of performance, risk management, consultation and complaints. This includes producing the Corporate Plan and providing corporate frameworks for performance management, service plans, risk management and data quality. The team is responsible for the Council's Consultation Strategy and leads the management, development and use of Viewpoint (the Council's Citizens Panel). The team has a key role to play in survey development, data analysis, the Place Survey and budget consultation. The team gives support to departments in relation to ad hoc consultation and research as well as managing the public consultation budget. On complaints, they are responsible for the complaints policy, coordinating responses and organising responses to complaints being investigaged by the Local Government Ombudsman and learning lessons from complaints.

They also contribute to other cross departmental functions such as customer services, diversity and equality and governance.

The team works with external audit and inspection bodies, such as the Audit Commission, when required.
