Residents
All residents in the nine areas are being contacted directly by mail asking them to complete a questionnaire and asking for comments on the proposals. In addition residents and businesses adjoining the nine areas are also being contacted.
Posters are being placed around the nine areas advising of the consultation and providing information of local drop in sessions.
Press releases will be issued advising of the consultation and providing details of the drop in sessions.
Information will be available on the council's website so any people with internet access will be able to find out more about the proposals as well as completing on line comments.
A series of drop in sessions covering all nine areas are being held so the members of the public will be able to find out more about the proposals and will have the opportunity to ask questions or provide comments.
Officers will visit all residents groups in the borough to advise them of the proposals, groups will have the opportunity to ask questions & provide comments.
Local businesses
Local businesses within and adjoining the proposed areas are being contacted directly by mail asking them to complete a questionnaire and asking for comments on the proposal.
Landlords
All landlords known to own / manage properties in Hartlepool are being contacted directly by mail asking them to complete a questionnaire and asking for comments on the proposals.
A drop in sessions for landlords is being held so that landlords & agents will be able to find out more about the proposals and will have the opportunity to ask questions or provide comments.
The landlord's forum newsletter will contain information about the consultation.
Contact will also be made with local & national landlord associations.
Managing & letting agents
All managing & letting agents known to manage properties in Hartlepool are being contacted directly by mail asking them to complete a questionnaire and asking for comments on the proposals.
A drop in sessions for landlords & agents is being held so that they will be able to find out more about the proposals and will have the opportunity to ask questions or provide comments.
Stakeholders / partners / community groups
Community groups will be contacted by letter with details of the proposals and invited to make comments.
Officer will attend a number of meetings to advise them on the proposals, answer questions and invite comments.
