Hartlepool is a small local authority but certainly our size does not restrict our ambition or determination to provide the best quality services to the children who live in the town. We have a stable management team who are committed to service development and our overall aim is to provide responsive and effective services.

We also feel that Hartlepool is a good place to work and we continually strive to ensure our staff are well supported and have a range of development opportunities to gain further qualifications and to enhance their practice skills.

Because Hartlepool is a small town, Social Workers have access to a range of resources to assist children and families from our own department; from other statutory agencies and from the voluntary sector. The majority of resources are Hartlepool based and easily accessible to Social Workers and families.
