Arts Hartlepool is an exciting new vibrant multi-functional Arts Space in Middleton Grange Shopping Centre, Level 1.

Engage in a great arts experience, get creative and find out about services you can access in Hartlepool...there's so much to get involved in...so come along and take part in Arts Hartlepool!

Open May to September 2011, Tuesday to Friday 10am to 4pm, closed Bank Holidays.

Activities in Arts Hartlepool shop:

June

  • 27th- 30th: Polystyrene printing
    Print images of ships by carving polystyrene. Inspired by the Tall Ships Exhibition at Hartlepool Art Gallery

July

  • 11th - 15th: Iron printing
    Make a piece of art from printing with irons or any household object. Inspired by the Irons exhibition in the Museum of Hartlepool

  • 18th - 22nd: Sport-themed arts and crafts
    Draw or paint your favourite football shirt, sport or sporting hero. Share a sporting story
  • 25th - 29th: Decorate a bag
    Bag making/decorating with craft material

August

  • 1st -5th: Fruit and Vegetable themed arts and crafts
    Food collage e.g. face made from fruit and veg or a street scene.  Make your own potato head, paint a fruit watercolour or make paper flowers
  • 8th- 12th: Re funk your junk
    Make curious objects and monsters like Herman from clean junk
  • 15th - 19th: Make your own puppet
    Make movable paper clowns and animals and put on a puppet show
  • 22nd -26th: Iron prints
    Make a piece of art from printing with irons or any household object
  • 29th - 2nd: Make your own fish and rod
    Paint a fish with watercolours and make you own fishing rod. Decorate your own carnival mask
