We have strong, effective partnerships in Hartlepool which are important to improving outcomes for children and young people.

The Hartlepool Children's Trust is a partnership between the council, schools, health service agencies, the Police, Further Education and Sixth form Colleges, Job Centre Plus and a range of voluntary sector partners represented by the Community Network. The Trust is responsible for ensuring that services are organised in such a way that they help all children and young people achieve their full potential and maximise their chances in life.

The Hartlepool Safeguarding Children Board is the partnership responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in Hartlepool . The Safeguarding Board also co-ordinates the wider safeguarding activity in Hartlepool with a focus on prevention as well as protection.

The Children's Trust and Hartlepool Safeguarding Children Boards work together to contribute to the wider goals of improving the well being and safety of all the children within Hartlepool.
