20's Plenty Consultation Plan
Earlier this year, the Neighbourhood Services Scrutiny Forum completed its inquiry into 20mph speed limits.
The inquiry recommended that a consultation exercise take place regarding the introduction of 20mph limits in residential areas on a town-wide basis, and this letter/ e-mail forms part of that consultation process.
The intention is that main roads would stay at their existing limit in order to keep traffic moving, with the majority of residential roads changing to 20mph.
The town plan (which can be downloaded below) shows those roads that would remain at their existing limit (in yellow), with the areas hatched red proposed for 20mph. The areas shown in green are existing or imminent 20mph limits.
