Business Rates for Empty Properties

How do empty rates affect my Business Rates Bill?

Business rates will not be payable in the first three months that a property is empty. This is extended to six months in the case of properties that are classed as "industrial".

After this initial three or six month period expires, ratepayers will be liable for 100% of the basic occupied Business Rate.
