Renewal Assistance
The Renovation Grants section administers the renovation grants system.
These grants are available to owner-occupiers whose homes are found to be unfit.
In order to focus on supporting housing market renewal, renovation grants are being targeted on owner-occupied properties within the West Central and North Central Regeneration areas and the Headland Conservation area. The grants are means tested, but applicants will have no more than 50% of the eligible cost to contribute towards the works.
Outside the targeted areas, grants are available for owner-occupiers on a qualifying benefit.
