Marriage and Civil Partnership - Register Office Ceremonies
In addition to carrying out ceremonies at Hartlepool's approved premises the Register Office offers two types of ceremonies;
Superintendant Registrar's Office Ceremony (Register Office, Civic Centre)
A Superintendant Registrar's Office ceremony is a statutory ceremony held in an office within the Civic Centre during usual office hours. It is a small ceremony for the couple and up to 4 guests (including witnesses). Fees can be found here.
The Marriage Room (Middlegate Room, Borough Hall)
Hartlepool Register Office's marriage room is located at the Middlegate Room within the Borough Hall on Hartlepool's Headland.
The room can accommodate up to 35 people and is located on the 1st floor overlooking the town square. Lift access to the room is provided via the Borough Hall reception atrium.
Car parking for the Borough Hall is close by along with many locations which are perfect for photographs such as the tea gardens and beach.
