About Environmental Protection
The Council's Environmental Protection team deals with air quality, noise and pollution related matters, including monitoring and complaint investigation, as well as providing a pest control service. We also manage and promote the Wednesday and Thursday outdoor markets.
We also authorise certain industrial processes, operate the Council's environmental monitoring system and review and assess local air quality.

Air Quality

Markets
The Council operates an open air market on a Wednesday and Thursday each week.
Noise Pollution
