Refuse Collection

Your refuse will be collected on the same day every week. Once your bin is empty we will return it to the point of collection.

Our services include:

• The collection and disposal of domestic waste from household wheeled bins. Please note there is a charge of £25.00 if your wheeled bin is reported lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair.
• The collection and disposal of trade waste (shops, offices, hotels, schools, etc).
• Additional green waste which cannot be fitted into your brown bin can be collected at a charge of 50p per bag. You can purchase your bags and arrange a collection over the telephone (your bags will be posted to you) or by calling into the Contact Centre Reception in the Civic Centre.
• Bulky household waste service - New charges have been introduced from 1st February 2011.  The standard collection will be charged at £15.00 for up to 3 items.
• Deceased pet collection from households at a charge of £30 + VAT
• We also collect dead animals on the highway free of charge.
• Assisted Collections are available for residents who are unable to get their bins/bags to the kerbside on collection day.
