Section 251 Budget Statements - Introduction
The Section 251 Statement (formerly Section 52) is a statutory statement (required under Section 251 of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009) which the Authority has to produce showing the education and children's social care budgets for the relevant year. Prior to 2008/09 the statement only showed the education budgets.
These statements are in a prescribed format to enable comparisons between authorities and it is a statutory requirement that the Authority makes these Statements publically available.
