About Food Safety Management Systems
If you are running a food business you must identify what might go wrong with the food and put in place safety procedures to make sure that the food you sell is safe. It is based on Hazard Analysis and Critical Procedures Principles or HACPP, which you may have heard about.
Since 1 January 2006 it has been a legal requirement that all food businesses are required to have written food safety management systems.
