Headland

Hartlepool has a wealth of built heritage. The town has over two hundred listed buildings, these cover a range of properties from churches and houses to telephone boxes and even bollards.

Further to this there are eight conservation areas within the Borough. These include the villages of Greatham and Elwick, the seaside resort of Seaton Carew and areas within the centre of town such as Church Street.

The built heritage of the area is a finite resource that contributes to the character, sense of place and community within Hartlepool.
