The Professional Executive Committee

The Joint Professional Executive Committee  (PEC) for Hartlepool PCT and North Tees PCT is part of the governance and accountability framework of the PCT. It drives strong clinical leadership and is patient-focused, promoting the health and well-being of local people.

The PEC is responsible for:

  • supporting the PCT in developing its vision and strategic direction
  • supporting practice based commissioning
  • ensuring clinical effectiveness and clinical governance
  • leading clinical communications with partners and stakeholders
