Crime Prevention
Crime Prevention is a crucial part of the Safer Hartlepool Partnership, aiming to help keep crime down in the town as well as building public confidence and making vulnerable people feel safer in themselves and in their homes.

The Partnership's Crime Prevention Officers, PC Steve Davies (North), Colin Hopkins (NDC/Central) and PC Steve Cranston (South), work within the community to provide residents with information, advice and support to help prevent them from becoming a victim of crime.

Each Crime Prevention Officer performs personal home safety visits following a referral to the service from another partner agency or organisation. The home safety visit involves a risk assessment of the property before advising what crime prevention materials need installing to the property to improve security. This can include security materials such as door and window locks, night lights and alarms of which all are installed on a site specific basis.

Any products installed on behalf of the Safer Hartlepool Partnership are performed by trusted sources.

If you have been affected by crime or wish to speak to a crime prevention officer on any issues surrounding personal, home or vehicle safety please contact the Community Safety Team at Hartlepool Police Station Tel: 01429 284888.
