Buddi

Buddi devices are helpful for people who may be at risk of getting lost or wandering due to memory problems or difficulties with understanding. They use GPS and mobile phone technology to help locate someone if they go missing.

How Buddi can help

Buddi devices can:

  • help people feel safe when travelling
  • alert carers or the police if the person gets lost or needs help
  • support people to travel alone more safely

Buddi is especially useful for people with:

  • dementia
  • learning disabilities
  • brain injuries

Using a Buddi can give people more freedom and independence, especially if they might otherwise be unable to go out on their own.

Buddi features

Buddi includes a range of safety features:

  • Emergency alerts – the wearer can press a button to raise an alert
  • Audio recording – records sound when the emergency alert is activated
  • Person-down detection – automatically alerts if the wearer falls
  • Speed motion alert – sends an alert and emergency response if the wearer has not moved for a set period of time
  • Boundary alerts – sets a safe area and alerts if the wearer leaves it
  • Tracking – allows up to five Buddi devices to be tracked for up to seven days
