What is an individual service fund?
An individual service fund (ISF) is a way for people who are eligible for care and support to manage their personal budget.
With an ISF:
- you choose a service provider to hold your personal budget
- you decide how your budget is spent
- the provider is responsible for managing your budget and delivering the care and support in your support plan
- a small part of your budget is used to cover the cost of managing the fund
You can also choose to spend part of your budget on services from other providers. Your main provider will still manage the full budget on your behalf.
Who can manage an ISF?
We have a list of approved providers who can manage an ISF for you.
View the list of approved ISF providers on our website
Who is eligible?
You may be eligible for an ISF if you meet the national eligibility criteria for care and support.
If you don’t meet the criteria, we can still offer advice and share details of approved ISF providers.
