Cleveland Fire Brigade offers free home visits to check for fire hazards and fit smoke alarms, including specialist alarms for people who are hard of hearing.

Action for Deafness
Action Deafness is a charity managed by passionate specialists, which has been awarded the contract by Hartlepool Borough Council to work in the town. The new service provides information, advice and guidance, as well as BSL translation and telephone support to help with letters and phone calls.
