Benefit notification letter
Your Housing Benefit notification letter will tell you how much Housing Benefit you have been awarded and how this has been assessed.
The letter will also tell you who will receive the payment of Housing Benefit. In some cases, we may pay your landlord.
The letter contains details of the information we have used to assess your claim. You must check this information and tell us immediately if you think your claim has been assessed incorrectly and why. If you do not check the content of the letter, it is your responsibility if we have paid you incorrectly.
You must tell us immediately if you, or anyone who lives with you, have a change in your circumstances, or if you have a change in landlord or rent. You will need to provide proof of your changes
