Ways you can get involved

Young people can take part in many ways, including:

  • attending groups in person
  • joining online sessions, such as through Microsoft Teams
  • working 1:1 with a staff member
  • becoming a mentor for other young people

You can be involved as often as you like - from attending weekly groups to joining our larger events across the year.

Opportunities to influence change

We encourage young people to shape services and drive positive change.

Regional group

Meets once a month. Young people share their views on how to improve support for Children in Care and Care Leavers across the region.

Benchmarking forum

A national forum of around 130 local authority leaving care teams.
It brings young people together to share experiences, highlight good practice, and improve services.

Young people can also become Benchmarking Champions and take part in up to three national events each year.
