A sewing machine is a versatile tool that can be used for a variety of tasks including dressmaking, alterations and home décor projects such as making curtains, embroidery applique and craft projects. It's a great tool for both beginners and experienced sewers.
Sewing can be a huge skill to learn, whether it's breathing life back into old clothes with a new design or fixing something broken. There's so much you can do with sewing, whether that's crafting gifts or making yourself homewares and new clothing.
Experience is not essential. We welcome complete beginners and those who would like to advance their sewing skills. We run a 3-week induction course which teaches you all the basics, with step-by-step instructions. Once you have completed the induction, you will be invited to join workshops and classes.
