Decisions delegated to officers
17.1 Decisions on certain types of application can be taken by the Director of Neighbourhoods and Regulatory Services through the Planning and Development Manager or the Assistant Director (Place Management) some in consultation with the Chair of the Planning Committee. These are wide ranging but generally less contentious for example applications where there are two or less objections where approval is proposed, the discharging of planning conditions and breaches of planning conditions. The full list of decisions delegated to the Director of Neighbourhoods and Regulatory Services is set out in Part 3 of the Constitution. The system allows quicker decisions to be taken on straightforward matters.
