Denise has over 25 years of experience in local government, all with Hartlepool Borough Council. She has held several senior roles including Director for Regeneration and Neighbourhoods. Before joining the Council, she worked in the hospitality sector. Denise holds a BSc in Environmental Technology from Durham University and an MBA in Public Management from Teesside University.
Denise has led major regional programmes including the LEP transition to the Tees Valley Combined Authority and chaired the Cleveland Local Resilience Forum during the COVID-19 response. She also represents 12 North East councils on Adult Social Care and leads Emergency Planning for the Tees Valley. - Reason for Involvement
