Notice of Marriage / Civil Partnership appointments

Face to face appointments recommence on 24 June. If you require an appointment please complete an online enquiry form or call 01429 523337

Notice of intention needs to be given a minimum of 28 days prior to the ceremony date. Although notice can be given 1 year prior to the ceremony we advise that couples wait until 6-8 weeks prior to their arranged ceremony date before giving notice as currently we do not know when ceremonies will be able restart and the form they will take when they can proceed.

Couples who are having their ceremony outside of the United Kingdom should seek advice from their ceremony coordinator.

Ceremonies

On 23 June the Prime Minister announced that marriages and civil partnerships in England can recommence on 4 July 2020. Guidance was issued by Government on 29 June - www.gov.uk

We are working though this guidance to establish what this will mean for our ceremonies in practical terms. Once we have established the form the ceremonies will take and the number of guests able to attend we will be contacting the couples who have had their ceremonies postponed or have upcoming ceremonies.

We will recommence new ceremony bookings as soon as we are able to

If you have a booking with Hartlepool Registration Service in the upcoming months and would prefer to postpone your ceremony to a later date you can do so free of charge.

If you decide to cancel your ceremony our normal cancellation and refund policy will apply.
