Notice of intention needs to be given a minimum of 28 days prior to the ceremony date. Although notice can be given 1 year prior to the ceremony we advise that couples wait until 6-8 weeks prior to their arranged ceremony date before giving notice to allow for late changes to the ceremony date and / or venue.
Couples who are having their ceremony outside of the United Kingdom should seek advice from their ceremony coordinator.
While marriage and civil partnership ceremonies can take place under the current restrictions they should only go ahead in exceptional circumstances. Examples of exceptional circumstances are an urgent marriage where one of those getting married is seriously ill and not expected to recover, or is to undergo debilitating treatment or life-changing surgery.
If a ceremony is to go ahead a maximum of 6 people may be in attendance. This number includes the couple but does not include anyone who is working at the ceremony i.e. the registrars.
The current Government guidance on marriage and civil partnership ceremonies can be viewed at www.gov.uk
Non statutory ceremonies (Renewal of Vows and Naming ceremonies) remain suspended until further notice.
Our ceremony diary remains open at this time. If you would like to check availability please complete an online enquiry form or call 01429 523337
