Tourism in Hartlepool
Visit our website Destination Hartlepool for information on visiting the town of Hartlepool.
The Tourism section of the Economic Regeneration team works to promote Hartlepool as a visitor destination regionally, nationally and internationally.
The service works very closely with the existing tourism stakeholders in Hartlepool to promote its many attractions, accommodation and events programmes. A number of joint marketing initiatives have been successfully delivered.
Each year the service is responsible for the production of a Hartlepool Mini-Guide, 40,000 of which are printed and distributed promoting Hartlepool through the network of Tourist Information Centres', leisure centres' and attractions within approximately one hours travelling distance.
Tourism also produces the well renowned Eat Guide, a paid for publication that promotes the eating out offer in Hartlepool. Over 30,000 copies are distributed within a 1 hour drive time.
The service also delivers a programme of training courses for the Hartlepool tourism operators at subsidised prices. Courses are mainly concerned with customer service and customer care although topics such as Management, PR and First-Aid have also been delivered.
