Support to Victims

To report an incident of domestic abuse contact the Police on 999.

Breaking away from an abusive relationship can be easier said than done, especially when children are involved.  The prospect of leaving an abusive relationship can be as frightening as the prospect of staying. Formerly known as North Tees Women's Aid, Harbour has worked for over 30 years, supporting victims of domestic abuse through dedicated holistic services.

It operates across Hartlepool, the Tees Valley, Durham and North Tyneside, offering refuge services, adults and children's outreach services, a counselling programme and a perpetrator programme.

In Hartlepool, Harbour offers:

Harbour Hartlepool Refuge

Harbour Hartlepool Refuge has six self contained units, as well as a room to accommodate emergency overnight stays.  The refuge can be accessed 24 hours a day, and staff provide support and guidance to women and their children.
