Domestic Violence and Abuse - Healthy Relationships: Advice for Parents

Being a parent of teenagers can be daunting.  One of the hardest things is seeing your teen get hurt in their relationships, but it is vital to be aware of the difference between behaviour that is part and parcel of normal growing up and learning about relationships and behaviour which has more serious implications.

Women's Aid have produced a toolkit for parents to help you navigate this tricky topic.  Educating young people and teenagers about domestic abuse is one of the most effective ways of preventing abuse in future relationships.

The Disrespect Nobody campaign has information aimed at teenagers on different types of abuse as well as discussing issues such as consent, sexting and sexual harassment.
