Christmas Closure
Our office will be closed from 4:30pm on Wednesday 24th December. Telephone lines will re-open 8:30am on Monday 5th January, the Civic Centre will open 9:00am the same day. Emails are not being monitored during this time.
While we are closed, payments can be made by debit or credit card using our 24-hour automated payment system.
You can:
- Call: 01429 523336 and follow the instructions using your telephone keypad.
- Make a payment online
If you already have a direct debit instruction set up with the Council, payments will be collected as normal. Payments can also be made by standing order or faster payment. If you have a PayPoint payment card you can continue to use this at any Post Office or PayPoint outlet across the town.
There are several easy ways to pay your council house rent. You’ll need your rent account number for most payment methods.
Ways to pay
1. Direct debit
The easiest way to pay. Please contact us for help with setting up an arrangement with your bank.
2. Online
Pay with a debit or credit card
3. Standing order
You can pay by standing order, please contact us for our bank details. You will need to use your rent account number as your reference.
4. By phone
Call 01429 523336, 24 hours a day, to pay by card. Have your rent account number ready.
5. In person
Visit the civic centre during office hours to pay.
6. PayPoint
You can request a new or replacement PayPoint payment card from us to pay your rent at any post office or PayPoint outlets.
