Introduction
This resource is designed for anyone who lives or works in Hartlepool and cares about health, quality of life, and health and social care services. It supports our shared goal of securing a healthier future for all residents.
Rather than focusing on clinical services like GP visits or hospital care, this assessment explores the broader factors that influence health and wellbeing across our community.
Purpose of the JSNA
The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) brings together insights from a wide range of contributors and data sources to identify and address the health and wellbeing needs of Hartlepool’s population.
It is informed by local plans, strategies, and policies developed through needs assessments, data analysis, and research. This centralised resource enables partners to evaluate progress against public health outcomes and align commissioning strategies to better serve areas of greatest need.
JSNA Dashboard
You can view and explore the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) dashboards by clicking on the button below:
This dashboard brings together a wide range of data to help understand the health and wellbeing needs of Hartlepool’s population. The interactive features allow users to explore trends and compare information across different topics.
As this is a newly developed resource, every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy and quality of the data presented. However, there may be some errors or omissions. We welcome feedback to help us improve future updates.
For the best experience, we recommend viewing the dashboards on a larger screen, such as a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet.
Accessibility
These dashboards are created using Power BI, an interactive and highly visual tool. As a result, they are not currently fully accessible to users who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers.
We recognise the importance of accessibility and are actively working to improve this in future versions of the dashboard.
If you experience any difficulties accessing the information, have questions about the data, or would like the content in an alternative format, please contact the Public Health Team:
