Hartlepool Business Week to return

Published: 22 September 2025

The fourth Hartlepool Business Week will take place next month and local businesses are being encouraged to make the most of the opportunities it offers.

Organised by Hartlepool Borough Council’s Economic Growth Team with a range of partners, it aims to promote the advice and support on offer to existing businesses and the help available to people wishing to become self-employed.

It will be centred mainly on The BIS in Whitby Street – the Council’s award-winning centre for creative sector businesses – and run from 8th-15th October.

There will be a range of advice and information sessions, with topics covering start-up business support, AI for business, doing business with Hartlepool Borough Council, the dos and don’ts of self-employment, export strategies and international trade advice.

As part of the week, The Hartlepool Business Forum will also be hosting a relaxed and informal social networking event at Wallis & Co at Navigation Point from 5-7pm on Thursday 9th October.

Councillor Pamela Hargreaves, Chair of the Council’s Economic Growth and Regeneration Committee, said: “With the recent announcement of around £40 billion for new nuclear technology along with £150 million that is currently being spent on transforming our physical landscape, confidence in our town’s future has never been stronger. We’re already seeing new businesses relocating here, while homegrown companies are expanding, investing, and creating high-quality jobs. This is a town on the rise.

"For anyone thinking about starting or growing a business, Business Week is the perfect chance to tap into this momentum and connect with the people and opportunities that can help turn ambition into success.”
