A consultation on the proposed introduction of Hartlepool Borough Council’s Domestic Abuse Strategy has been launched.
The Strategy aims to address insufficient availability of support services for victims and survivors of domestic abuse, and the consultation allows residents and partners to review and provide feedback into how Hartlepool Borough Council looks to support those affected by domestic abuse.
Councillor Gary Allen, Chair of the Adult Services and Public Health Committee said: “This consultation signals Hartlepool Borough Council’s commitment to supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse with the best possible services.
“This strategy looks to build on the positive work from the previous strategy launched for the period 2022 – 2025 and aims to recognise children as victims in their own right.”
“We encourage residents take part in the consultation so we hear from as many interested individuals and groups as possible, to make Hartlepool a safer place to live”
