Entries are now being taken for Hartlepool's 2026 Big Lime Triathlon.
Organised by specialist company Wild Deer Events in partnership with Hartlepool Borough Council, it will take place on Sunday 9 August.
There is a range of competitive options, including standard distance triathlon and aqua bike (swim/cycle) events, sprint distance triathlon and aqua bike events and open water swims of 750 metres and 1,500 metres.
The events are open to competitors of all abilities, and people are being urged to book early to secure their places.
The standard distance triathlon will comprise a 1,500m swim, a 40km cycle ride and a 10km run, while the sprint distance triathlon will be made up of a 750-metre swim, a 20km cycle ride and a 5km run. Relay options are available for both triathlons.
The standard aqua bike event will be made up of a 1,500m swim and a 40km cycle ride, and the sprint aqua bike event will consist of a 750m swim and a 20km cycle ride.
All competitors will receive an event medal and merchandise, along with a snack and drink on the day.
