A brand-new Employment Hub on the Headland has been officially opened, providing residents with a welcoming, accessible space to gain support, build skills and explore new job opportunities.
The new facility, located inside of the Headland Library, forms part of Hartlepool Borough Council’s wider commitment to helping people of all ages into work, training, apprenticeships and volunteering. The Hub offers impartial information, advice and guidance from the Council’s specialist Jobs and Skills team, supporting residents with everything from job searching and CV writing to interview preparation, digital access and career planning.
Working in partnership with local employers, training providers and community organisations, the Hub provides tailored one‑to‑one support and connects people with a broad range of learning, skills and employment opportunities across Hartlepool and the wider Tees Valley.
Councillor Pamela Hargreaves, Leader of Hartlepool Borough Council, said: “I’m delighted that our new Employment Hub on the Headland is now open. This is a vital investment in our community, ensuring that local people have the support they need to thrive - whether they are taking their first steps into work, looking to retrain, or planning the next stage of their career. Our commitment is to empower every Hartlepool resident to reach their full potential, and this new Hub is an important part of that ambition.”

The Jobs & Skills team already supports over 1,000 people in Hartlepool each year, helping them gain new skills, secure work and move closer to their career goals.
The Headland Employment Hub is open weekdays from 9am-12noon and then 12:30pm-4:30pm except Tuesday when it open from 10am-12:30pm and then 1pm-6pm. Further details about the range of support available through the Council’s Employment Hubs can be found at hartlepooljobsandskills.com.
