The Hartlepool Town Deal – survey deadline approaching!

They have until Monday (January 18th) to complete a survey in support of the Hartlepool Town Deal.

Hartlepool is one of 100 towns across England which have been invited to develop innovative regeneration plans and potentially secure millions of pounds worth of funding through the Towns Fund.

The next step in the process of securing the Hartlepool Town Deal is the approval of a Town Investment Plan which will be submitted to the Government at the end of this month.

The preparation of this document is being overseen by the Hartlepool Town Deal Board, chaired by local businessman Alby Pattison and comprising representatives of the local public, private and voluntary sectors.

The plan currently includes proposals for further town centre regeneration, connectivity improvements around the Hartlepool Waterfront and investment in health and civil engineering institutes that will enable local people to develop new skills.

Mr Pattison said it was vital that the plan reflected the views of local people and businesses and he urged them to have their say by completing the online survey which can be accessed - along with more information about the Town Investment Plan and Hartlepool Town Deal - at www.hartlepool.gov.uk/HartlepoolTownDeal

“The importance of the Hartlepool Town Deal cannot be overstated as, if approved, it has the potential to really transform the town.

“Funding secured through the Town Deal will enable Hartlepool Borough Council to build on improvements already underway in the town and it will also act as a catalyst for further investment,” said Mr Pattison.
