Hartlepool town centre is set to come alive once again when the Street Food Carousel returns to Church Square on Saturday 19 September from 4pm to 8pm.
Hartlepool Borough Council is working in partnership with Baccanalia to deliver the Street Food Carousel programme over four weekends
Following the success of the first two events in August which attracted large crowds and created a vibrant atmosphere in the heart of the town, organisers are looking forward to building on that momentum.
The initiative forms part of the Council's ongoing drive to promote the borough as a destination for enjoyable events that attract visitors, boost footfall and support local businesses.
Councillor Rob Darby, Chair of the Council's Housing, Growth and Communities Committee, said: "The first two Street Food Carousel events have been a tremendous success, bringing hundreds of people into the town centre and creating a fantastic atmosphere. They have shown exactly what can be achieved when the Council works closely with partners to deliver high-quality events for residents and visitors.
"We're determined to build on that success. If you haven't been along yet, make sure you join us on 19 September for what promises to be another brilliant evening. I'd also encourage any traders who want to be part of the event to get in touch. These events are helping to showcase Hartlepool as a vibrant destination with plenty to offer, and we want as many people and businesses as possible to be involved."
The latest carousel will be centred solely on Church Square as it will not be possible to extend it into Scarborough Street – as was the case with the most recent event - due to ongoing regeneration work in the surrounding area. However, organisers hope to expand the event footprint again in the future as works progress.
